Strategy
Rethinking Scholarship:
Toward Uni-disciplinarity
To this end, we move beyond mono-disciplinary and multi-disciplinary approaches toward trans-disciplinarity (通/統分科) and uni-disciplinarity (通/統學問; uni-disciplinary = university), aiming at the restoration of all-disciplinary learning: the one unified learning that is the original meaning of the university (大學).
- Step 1 Mono-disciplinary
- Step 2 Multi-disciplinary
- Step 3 Trans-disciplinary 通/統分科
- Step 4 Uni-disciplinary = university
- Step 5 All-disciplinary
Stages to move beyondStages we pursue
Toward the Third Axial Age
Beyond the First and Second Axial Ages,
we aim to mark the starting point of a revolution
in thought and scholarship toward a Third Axial Age.
